Meet Bentley, on the right, is a rescue from Hurricane Harvey; his "owner" tied him to their fence and left town with the impending storm. He has a great home now with his new buddy Morgan!
What do these letters mean? Dr. Maslanka spent four days in Seattle at the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care Conference while Dr. Collins spent three days in Denver at the American Association of Feline Practitioners Conference. Both doctors learned so much at these opportunities to further their education and keep current on their medical knowledge. Dr. Maslanka is now one third of the way to becoming certified as a hospice and palliative care veterinarian. This will enable us to offer much more comfort and support during that critical and precious time of life after a terminal diagnosis, and offers hope that that time can be a gift for both of you. There is hope for comfort!

DENTAL HEALTH MONTH  HomeCare is pleased to offer state of the art dental services including digital xrays of the teeth during the dental procedure to guide us on how best to proceed for each patient. We can make the best judgement in this way on if a tooth is painful and needs to be extracted or if it healthy and can be left in place. Dental procedures include careful anesthesia with a dedicated technician for monitoring, good pain management, ultrasonic cleaning and scaling; inspection of each tooth, xrays if needed to help make decisions, and a two week post dental checkup with a consultation about at home dental care. Comprehensive! And so worthwhile for the basic health of your friend.
Case of the Month
Meet Whisper! Whisper because she was so quiet - hiding there under the car. Our client could not just scare her off or drive over her because she was indeed very thin and ill with obvious trouble breathing. Read about her recovery below!
