Our Mission: Giving back to the Community
Helping our International Community; Welcoming Syrian Refugees Our goal was one, but we paid two months rent for the last Syrian family to land at Kennedy before the ban; a beautiful young mom and her two active, polite, and healthy boys now thriving in the Newtown PA area. Thank you so much to every one of you that contributed amounts large and small and wished this family well as they settle into their new and productive lives in this country away from the desperate danger in which they were trying to survive. We are all a part of a web of life and each act we take has an impact elsewhere - in this case allowing a young family to bloom and thrive in safety.
Hurricane Harvey
Meet Bentley, on the right, is a rescue from Hurricane Harvey; his "owner" tied him to their fence and left town with the impending storm. He has a great home now with his new buddy Morgan! Thanks to the generosity of you, our clients, four children and teenagers in Houston have new backpacks, school supplies and items to replace all that they lost when their homes completely flooded. This initiative dovetailed into the Hurricane Harvey relief project within Montgomery Township schools in which each school partnered with a devastated school in Houston and the kids were matched up to send a box of supplies and most of all support in this time of need. Pictured is Sara Maslanka with some of the donated items!
